SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. (July 16, 2025) – Jonathan Weinberg of New York, N.Y., defeated his brother, Alexander Weinberg, to win the 108th Met Junior Championship Sponsored by MetLife from Southampton Golf Club.

Jonathan held off a late comeback attempt from Alexander to claim the title.
Jonathan never trailed in the match, and he led from holes five to 17. His largest lead was a 2-up margin, which was as late as the 14th hole. Alexander managed to tie the match on the 17th hole thanks to a birdie.
However, Jonathan rebounded on the 18th hole with a par that clinched the championship. Jonathan got up and down from the back greenside bunker.
With the win, Jonathan is exempt into the 123rd Met Amateur Championship, which will be held at Old Oaks Country Club from July 31 to August 3.
